How to Build a Successful Mentoring Program
If you are starting a mentoring program or want to enhance your existing program
to ensure your program possesses all of the necessary elements to meet your goals
and objectives, this is the opportunity to jump-start your program with new and
interesting ideas! This two-day training provides school, community, and faith-based
teams with tools to implement a responsible mentoring program based on MENTOR/National
Mentoring Partnership's Elements of Effective Practice.
Participants will:
- Learn the nuts and bolts of running an effective and responsible mentoring program;
- Identify a mentoring program model most suitable for their organization;
- Develop strategies for screening, recruiting, training, matching and monitoring the youth and mentor relationship;
- Incorporate the MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership's Elements of Effective Practice in an interactive learning environment; and
- Receive resource materials for mentor program development and volunteer management.

Who Should Attend? Businesses, community/faith-based organizations and schools interested in starting new mentoring programs and mentoring program staff seeking to implement the Elements of Effective Practice into their existing program.

Cost: $149 per person
$119 per team member (team consists of 3-5 people)
