WARNING SIGNS OF A DRINKING PROBLEM

While the following behaviors may indicate an alcohol or other drug problem, some also reflect normal teenage/young adult growing pains.  Experts believe that a drinking prolem is more likely if you notice several of these signs at the same time, if they occur suddenly, and if some of them are extreme in nature.  It may be difficult for you identify these signs if your son or daughter is living at college away from home.  That is why it is especially important during this time to keep the lines of communication open with your child.  If you notice the following signs and are worried about your son or daughter's involvement in alcohol or other drugs, contact the alcohol prevention office, counseling services or the treatment and recovery office at their school.
